Dr. Bill and his wife Ginny are dedicated to making the Pahoa Animal Hospital a special place by hiring a compassionate, skilled, hard-working and enthusiastic group of staff members. Their variety of experience and personalities have built our amazingly well-rounded team. We take pride in offering quality care by implementing a fully integrated hospital operating software throughout all aspects of our practice, affiliated programs and client communications.
Our state-of-the-art facility is virtually paperless, which enables efficiency and sustainability. The hospital is a spacious 3,000 sq/ft, which allows us to comfortably hold a large occupancy, while accommodating a wide variety of products and services. We are proud to offer a relaxing main reception lobby, separate cat waiting room, out-front seating area, three exam rooms (one specially made for cats), a full diagnostics lab, pharmacy, radiology suite, treatment ward, surgery suite, dog recovery ward, cat recovery ward and a critical isolation ward. Our dream is to make sure our clients and their pets are happy to see us! This is accomplished by encouraging a Fear Free environment, protocols and client education.

Our central location within Pahoa’s Puna Kai shopping center makes every visit convenient! Finding ways to support the surrounding local community is also very important to us. Some of the ways we do this is by providing a pet community event and rescue adoption board, using our lobby walls to display Puna-grown art, promoting locally made products like leashes, collars and assorted gifts. We refer our clients to trusted local Fear Free pet trainers, non-profit organizations, boarding facilities, groomers etc...all to help facilitate our clients and their pet’s needs. From the beginning of development, to the current maintenance of our practice; we utilize other local businesses and services to keep our hospital running smoothly. The Pahoa Animal Hospital is excited to create a family within our staff and surrounding community. Our team feels veterinary care should be a positive experience for clients, their pets, the community as well as an enjoyable place for us to work!
