To protect our valued clients and staff, the Pahoa Animal hospital abides by Covid-19 social-distancing and cleanliness policies.
To shorten our clients in-hospital wait time and minimize exposure to others, our New Client form and Health Certificate Questionnaire can be found on our Important Forms page.
All staff members and clients are required to wear a mask or face shield. If you or anyone you have been exposed to are sick, have recently been sick or showing symptoms of Covid-19, please be considerate and reschedule your appointment for a later date.
Our staff follows a regular and strict disinfecting protocol for high-touch areas. We provide hand sanitizer to clients upon arrival.
We service one client at a time for each check-in and check-out station. Social-distancing will be managed by spreading clients out while they wait. The various options include our separate cat waiting room, three exam rooms, within the client's personal cars or along our outside seating area. Our front door stays locked, so please kokua and call upon arrival so our staff can instruct you over the phone when and how to enter.
Clients have the option to pre-pay for products over the phone and pick them up curbside. With our clients comfort in mind, we are partnered with two home delivery services: Vetsource, an online medication pharmacy and Hill's to Home, a prescription pet food pharmacy. These extra safety measures are critical to everyone's safety, but may lengthen the time it takes to perform our duties. With this in mind, we appreciate your patience and kindness!
